Matthew is responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall success of our business, from managing the fleet and supporting staff to ensuring smooth customer experiences and driving strategic growth. Every vehicle that goes out and every process behind the scenes runs through his leadership.

Todd Holden – Owner | Newcastle Car & Truck Rental
Meet Todd Holden, the driving force behind Newcastle Car & Truck Rental. With over 20 years of experience in the car and truck rental industry, Todd brings leadership, local knowledge, and a commitment to delivering a first-class rental experience across Newcastle and the Hunter Region.
Before joining Newcastle Car & Truck Rental, Todd held senior roles including Branch Manager, General Manager for major NSW franchise operations, and National Commercial Vehicle Manager at Europcar. His extensive background with both Thrifty and Europcar shaped his vision of building a locally owned, independent rental business that focuses on customer satisfaction, flexibility, and transparency.
Today, Todd is focused on growing the Newcastle Rental brand, expanding into new locations like Maitland, and introducing smart technology to streamline processes and improve the customer experience. Under his leadership, Newcastle Car & Truck Rental proudly offers a diverse fleet including cars, utes, vans, trucks, tippers, moving pans, 4WDs, and buses.

Outside the office, Todd enjoys spending time with family and friends, and actively supports local sporting clubs and community groups across the region.

Say hello to Jorja Holden, one of the dedicated faces behind the scenes at Newcastle Car & Truck Rental. As a Vehicle Detailer, Jorja does more than just clean and prep our fleet — she plays a hands-on role in the customer experience journey, from vehicle handover to return inspection.
With two years of on-the-job experience, Jorja takes pride in helping customers understand how to operate equipment, avoid damage, and drive away with confidence. Her passion for the industry runs deep – as a third-generation family member in the car and truck rental industry, Jorja grew up around vehicles, rentals, and customer service excellence.

Introducing Ben, one of the friendly voices behind the phone and front counter at Newcastle Car & Truck Rental. With 5 years of experience in the vehicle rental industry, Ben plays a key role in helping customers find the right rental — from cars and utes to trucks and buses — for every occasion.
Ben’s daily responsibilities include answering calls, handling bookings, and making sure customers feel confident and well-supported. Whether it’s a local move or a business hire, he takes pride in matching people with the right vehicle for the job.
“What do I love most? The people — all of them,” Ben shares.
A proud moment in his role has been supporting community groups and charities like The Big Trekk, which raises vital funds for the Mark Hughes Foundation.
Outside the office, Ben enjoys gaming, travelling, and connecting with new people, bringing the same energy and enthusiasm to every interaction.

Natalie’s only been with NCTR a short time, but wow—this girl knows what she’s doing. She dives right in, gets the job done, and is a pro at bossing the boys around while keeping the team running straight (well, mostly straight)!

Meet Alleluya Hamisi, one of our dedicated Vehicle Detailers at Newcastle Car & Truck Rental. Alleluya plays a vital role in keeping our rental fleet clean, reliable, and ready to go, managing the cleaning, distribution, and retrieval of vehicles across our locations.
Since joining the team two years ago, Alleluya has built hands-on expertise through on-the-job training, proving that a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are just as valuable as experience. Whether it’s preparing a moving truck, a 4WD, or a passenger car, Alleluya ensures every vehicle meets our high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
What does he enjoy most? “The team here is like a family — everyone is supportive and welcoming,” Alleluya says.
One standout memory? A weekend where the team turned around over 35 vehicles — a fast-paced, high-energy moment that showed just how well the team works under pressure. (That, and axe-throwing with the boss hitting every bullseye!)
When he’s not detailing vehicles, Alleluya enjoys playing and watching football (soccer).
His pride in his work is evident every time a freshly prepared vehicle hits the road. At Newcastle Car & Truck Rental, we’re proud to have Alleluya as part of the team, helping us deliver reliable, well-presented vehicles and a great rental experience to every customer.
Ash
Ashley, known as Ash is Glendale Branch Manager who brings over 20 years of experience in rental equipment and is always willing to help in any way or form. He keeps the crew on their toes, the customers in trucks—and being from NZ, he reckons jandals are PPE! 🥝😄

Andrew Davey – Customer Experience Officer | Newcastle Car & Truck Rental
Meet Andy, a familiar and friendly face at Newcastle Car & Truck Rental with nearly two decades of experience helping customers find the right rental for the job. As our Customer Experience Officer, Andrew handles everything from booking reservations and taking calls to assisting renters in choosing the perfect car, ute, van, truck, or bus for their needs.
Andrew has spent 18 years in the rental industry and continues to thrive on the variety and people-focused nature of his role. Whether you’re relocating, heading to a worksite, or planning an event, he’s there to ensure you get on the road with confidence.
What makes it all worthwhile? “The team is fantastic, and no two days are ever the same,” says Andrew. He even had a brush with fame when serving former Newcastle Knights player and Man Shake founder Adam MacDougall, just one of the many memorable moments from his career.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys fixing small appliances, riding motorbikes, and caring for his beloved cats.
Jordan
Jordon Hooper – Vehicle Detailer | Newcastle Car & Truck Rental
Meet Jordon, a key member of our fleet team at Newcastle Car & Truck Rental. As a Vehicle Detailer, Jordon ensures every car, ute, van, or truck in our fleet is cleaned, inspected, and ready for hire, contributing directly to the customer experience we pride ourselves on.
With nearly two years in the role, Jordon’s work covers the full lifecycle of each vehicle: from preparation and handover to return inspection and detailing. Whether it’s moving gear around the yard or firing up our brand-new wash bay equipment, he brings care, precision, and pride to every shift.

When he’s not detailing vehicles, Jordon enjoys BBQing and smoking meats, gaming, and spending time with family and friends, bringing that same sense of focus and fun to his work.
Kitsana
Kitsana is normally, an adventurer who works outdoors, such as on a farm or in a cement factory that produces walls. Currently, he work part-time with us.
Kit says he’s “happy met a good boss & coworkers. I also practice my language skills”.
